[ Look, it's the first time Norway will come looking for you, Denmark. And he comes with a mission. Knock knock. ]

[Denmark looks up from the paperwork that he was trying to get to- having been away for a while it is good that docummentation exists, BUT IT IS BORING - and discards it the moment he sees that it is Norway.] Nor! Ya came ta visit me! [Which is true insofar as, while they are on the resort grounds, it's the room that Denmark is occupying until they figure out where he actually lives.]

[ Norway shrugs and lets himself in, taking a seat across Denmark. ] I wanted ta talk with ye 'bout somethin'. [ This is going to be weird. ]

'Bout Island.

[chatty_swan]

...What is it?

[Denmark sobers up at that (nine years but that's no time for a nation), though the grin will be back after a moment.] I think he has been making friends, is it about that? Friends are good, but I can check on them if ya want more information or supervision or something. [Also pulling his chair over towards Norway.]

[laukr]

No. It's not 'bout his friends. [ Norway levels a gaze at Denmark, firm. ] Dan, he's half a century older than ye remember him bein'.

As is everyone else. I still don't get why ya're all from the same time.

[laukr]

[ Norway nods. He doesn't want to make assumptions about that. ]

So, try ta remember that he's not a kid anymore. Not ta a point of requiring a lot of pampering. It'll just embarrass him.

[chatty_swan]

But he is! He's acting like a kid and looks like a kid and he's always been a kid! Just a bit older and thinks that he can get around alone!

[laukr]

He can get around alone. He's been doin' that fer quite a long while now. [ Look, this isn't easy for Norway either. He'd much rather pamper and tease Iceland until the end of times but it's not going to be an option for much longer. And while usually he'd not care much if Denmark would insist making idiotic decisions, (he's old enough to make his choices.) But this one concerns Iceland as well and that makes it different. ] Ye'll push him away if ye don't give him space. [ He might be talking to himself, okay... Norway really needs to be right this time. So he's pretty pushy about it. ]

[chatty_swan]

Then I just have ta hold on ta him harder!

Denmark's head.

This time, he notices the logic flaw in all of that though and frowns, falling back on his butt.] He's always pulling away, though.

I guess it's understandable. [ A shrug. ] He'll grow over it.

[chatty_swan]

How long?

[Now he sounds a bit like a child that asks how much longer the drive is five minutes after they've left home. But WOW ICE BE A GOOD BOY]

[laukr]

As long as it takes.

[chatty_swan]

That sounds like code fer way too long.

[laukr]

Stop bein' a child, you.

[chatty_swan]

[Yes, this totally proves your point, Denmark. Absolutely.]

But ya'll drop by more often now, right?

Because we're best friends! And I miss seeing ya.

Y'll see me at work all the time. [ Leaving now. ]

[chatty_swan]

But that's just work! We should hang out! Go ta a bar tagether or cook or beat up Scotland or something! [He's racking his brain for good things and kind of stumbling over his own thoughts at pulling up what he can find.]

[laukr]

Settle down, Dan. We'll see each other.

[chatty_swan]
